Our Provence-style clay figurines, "santons" in French, and resin stable are designed in France by artist Isabelle Caussin.

The roof of the stable is a replica of the clay tiled roofs made of thick terracotta so specific to Provence. 

Then, they're handmade of natural clay and individually hand-painted by Chinese craftspeople who have a long tradition of fine painting. And because they're hand-painted, individual santons' features may slightly vary.

Our figurines are more or less 3 and 1/2 inches high depending on the model.

Each set of santons comes in its sturdy deluxe custom storage box lined with EVA foam (highest quality) and covered with black velvet so that these heirlooms can be conveniently and beautifully stored like jewels and pass the test of time. 

Going on a scavenger hunt to get all the natural elements of the scenery can be a wonderful and memorable adventure for your children and you might even want to make it a family tradition on the first weekend of Advent. You'll need sand, gravel, moss, rocks, twigs and whatever else you can put your hands on. BUT, if you're a very busy parent, this might not be an option for you. Or maybe you can easily find gravel in your neighborhood but not necessarily straw. That's why our pre-packaged elements are available for your convenience.
